The first episode was fun...(airing on NTV7, Wednesday at 9.00 pm)
This newly born sitcom (PrimeWorks) seem inspired by Mind Your Language sitcom (maybe?). But, well the British popular sitcom was three decades years old and still...the old timer (sorry Boss) I knew, mention about it when I told about MSMC.
Mr. Siao Mandarin Class - The story begin when the owner of the multi-level-marketing company - Dream Big International Group, Robert Toh (Kee Thuan Chye) keen to venture the China market. So, in order to do so, he send a few selected people (diamond and pearl leader, who did not well versed in Mandarin) to attend Mandarin Class. The dialogue consist of 70% Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, Hakka) and others such as English and Malay. Malay and Mandarin subtitle is also provided for viewer better understanding.
The Actor:
1. Auguste Kwan Teik Hooi - Mr. Siao
2. Kee Thuan Chye - Mr. Robert Toh
3. Wincci Soo - Sophia Toh
4. Loo Aye Keng - Chung Kok Keong
5. Elvanna Raine - Chung Chor Hung
6. Steve Yap - Tey Eng Jun
7. Ling Tang - Dai Bai Sha
8. Tony Ong - Dang Huan
9. Alvin Wong - Tan Tai Shan
9. Zahamin Baki (Baki) - Amir
10. Chai Jen - Siti
11. Ramasundran Rengan - Shah Rukh Khan
12. Kyo Chen - Chow Siu Keong
13. Cindy Chen - Miss Q
Currently, I like Alvin Wong character - The nerd, panickly, stingy, show-off (with English accent), and hilariously-funny, Tan Tai Shan.
Actually, I attended mandarin class (in my University day) but, yeah...I guess my tongue cannot adopt to it completely. But, still I can remember a few words. I mean a few greetings.
Ni hao ma? - Awak baik ka?
Wo hen hao. - Saya baik.
Ni hao? - Awak baik?
Ni hao. - Saya baik.
Wan An. - Selamat malam.
Nu Er, Nan Pengyou, Bu kan, Mai yu, Pang, Hen, Lai, Zai nali?, Shang ban....and others few words.
