Lately, I'm really addicted to sopranos/classical-pop/new age music/world music. Do not know how or why. I guess the music.... just so beautiful, ambient, pure, light, easy and so inspiring. So irresistible.
I am, indeed...fascinated by song 'Tears in Heaven'....The version that The Choirboys sing. Because of the strong British accent. (Hemm, British accent...that's why I think, I like Lily Allen...Go Lily...Go Lily...)
This classical-ballad cover version appeared on The Choirboys album which released in 2005. The album has sold over 750,000 copies worldwide, and also the fastest-selling classical debut with 100,000 copies sold on its opening week (UK).
'Tears in Heaven' actually a ballad song written by Eric Clapton and Will Jennings (1992) for the film Rush. Originally sing by Eric Clapton, this song was a tribute for Eric four-years-old son, Conor who died from a tragic accident.
The Lyrics...
Title : Tears in Heaven
Written by : Eric Clapton and Will Jennings (1992)
Performed by : The Choirboys (2005)
Would you know my name, If I saw you in heaven?,
Would it be the same, If I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong, And carry on,
'Cause I know I don't belong, Here in heaven
Would you hold my hand, If I saw you in heaven,
Would you help me stand, If I saw you in heaven?
I'll find my way, Through night and day,
'Cause I know I just can't stay, Here in heaven
Time can bring you down, Time can bend your knees,
Time can break your heart, Have you begging please, Begging please
Beyond the door, There's peace I'm sure,
And I know there'll be no more, Tears in heaven
